how much will it cost me if i were to take a cab from downtown to disneyland? how long will it takes? another thing is, is the hollywood sign visible from everywhere in hollywood? how do i get to the hollywood or universal studio from i stay near chinatown?
I suggest you rent a car vs. a cab since that will be very expensive. An alternate to a cab is a shuttle service which is much cheaper. As for the Hollywood sign, no its not visible everywhere. Hollywood is west of Chinatown and Universal Studios is northwest of Chinatown. Both easily accessible by car vs. public transport. Though from Chinatown Hollywood and Beverly Hills are accessible via public transportation.

You might want to buy a package like this. starlinetours.com/los-angele... There are many other tour options available to Disneyland as well if you google for them. We have bought a package this week that gives you free transportation to Universal. You just pay the price of admission. Do some googling if you have time.
