If you will have a car at your disposal, there are plenty to do around L Orient. if you wish you can look at Pedro's blog at paris1972.wordpress.com/2011... and look for different places in Brittany he writes about. He is an ex=floridian who has lived in Paris and France for ages. I loved visiting Carnac mentioned above and my favourite place around those parts is Quiberon

Hmmm. I'm pretty sure you'll be bringing gadgets :) First and foremost, you need to secure them during traveling. There are lots of bag designs for it. Try to find places there where you can learn something :) check this place and be familiar with it :)

Lorient is nice city center ,and plenty of ships/submarines museums to visit as it is a marine harbor. Carnac is not far, and plenty of monolilthic stones there Unesco World Heritage site. You also have a nice museum and stones at Locmariaquer. Quiberon is a peninsula very beautiful beaches and quaint beach town. There is so much to see there, visit the morbihan tourist office, google it for details. Cochinjew that is a very nice blog, glad to see it about my favorite part of the country ::)

by the way Morbihan is the department where I live no 56. it means petite mer in French, but here its Breton land, and its mor=sea bihan=small. Morbihan. My name here is gwened, means Vannes, the city where I work and live just at the entrance to Carnac, the Morbihan , where Lorient is also. you should see the Gulf of Morbihan, Unesco World Heritage site.
