My wife and I are going to do a road trip around Oregon in September for our anniversary and are looking for suggestions of nice places to stay in the Mount Hood area. We won't be bringing camping gear, so looking for a nice little hotel or B&B in the area with good views and opportunities for hiking and nature.

They say the long tom pas was named after the cannon used in the boer war against England. How is it that the name plate on the cannon now a days date to 1984. Or is it only a model made after the real one?
