Belmont Shore - Long Beach CA "place to stay"

My parents are staying in Long Beach for 1 night only. They were recommended to stay at Belmont shore, but I can't find any hotels at Belmont on the internet. Is there any recommended reasonably priced hotels/motels etc. in a safe area at or near Belmont Shore? Does anyone know what the Belmont Shore Motel on Ocean Bld is like? Any help would be appreciated.
