    • TOURS VS DO IT YOURSELF

      Niagara Falls Yesterday

Better to book a tour or try to do it on your own? Arriving on a Monday evening, going to the magic show; will be there all day Tuesday and Wednesday - leaving on Thursday morning. We have a 12 year old and want to do and see as much as possible (possibly including the aero tram and the jet boat). Suggestion greatly appreciated!

    • Which route to Niagara Falls?

Sault Sainte Marie Apr 25, 2013 at 3:17 PM

Hi, I will be driving from Madison Wisconsin to Niagara Falls in June and will be crossing the border at Sault Ste Marie. I would really appreciate some advice on the following: For an overnight stay which would you recommend, the usa or ontario side of the border? What route would you recommend for the onward journey? Is there a route that includes a car ferry crossing? 13 years ago I did a long drive around the great lakes and I remember taking a car ferry but cannot remember where from or where it arrived (across part of lake huron maybe?) I do remember really enjoying that ferry trip though and would love to find it again to enjoy with my children. I seem to recall spending a few hours on a lovely beach after the ferry crossing. Any clues and recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

    • Best way to get around Toronto?

      Toronto May 10, 2013 at 7:26 AM

Ok, so I have searched through several of the threads for suggestions for this, and I have found some. In July, four of my friends and I are visiting Toronto. We are wondering if it is worth it to use the TTC pass? Or would it be better for us to go by Taxi? We will be staying near the airport, but we will definitely be checking out the city. We will be there for four nights, and five days.

Hi, I am visiting friends in Barrie for 3 nights and then I'm thinking of staying 1 night in Toronto before leaving for Niagara.

It will be December and I am wondering where's best to stay for just 1 night after a day sight seeing in Toronto?
      Central but on a budget?

Any pointers on what to visit too? We are not into Museums or Galleries etc.

How to get from Niagara, CA to Buffalo Airport for a flight!

Niagara Falls Apr 27, 2013 at 12:11 PM

Hi, I am looking to visit Niagara (CA) for the day and then take a flight from Buffalo to NYC that night, how would we go about this without a car?

Is it OK to go just for the day? We will be travelling from Toronto that day. We could possibly stay 1 night and fly NYC the following morning but no point if nothing to do?

It'll be December so other than the actual looking at the Falls (doubt the boat trip will be on) is there anything else to do?

Niagara Falls Apr 25, 2013 at 8:03 PM

We're heading for Maine later this year, and since we'll be passing so close to Niagara Falls, I'd like to see it. We plan to get to the town of NF, stay for the night, and leave at 10 or 11 the next morning. What's the best way to use our time? Can we get to a good viewpoint at sunrise? Riding the boat can wait for another time - we just want to get a good look and take some pictures.

Where to stay for 1 night?

Niagara Falls Apr 29, 2013 at 11:58 AM

I am coming from Toronto and looking for 1 nights accommodation - central and nice but not too pricey although if it came with a great view I may consider paying more.

We are leaving to fly from Buffalo the next day at 12.35 so if you also know the best way to get from Niagara to Buffalo airport this would help too - I have been told you can jump a taxi cab and also maybe use a train/bus?
Slightly worried that border control could take a while!

    • Moving to London, Ontario?

by LunaliVime Online Now May 31, 2012 at 3:49 PM

My boyfriend and are looking to move to Canada from America. We are looking in the southern region of Ontario. It seems that London and Leamington are both pretty affordable. Can anyone provide info on your opinions? Where would be the best place to move in terms of finding a job? (I'll honestly take anything!) What is the best city to live in terms of activity and affordability?

    • LondonApartmentsDirect Scam

by declyn Online Now Aug 17, 2006 at 8:56 AM

Help, help, help!!! We are a group of 12 people who have contracted with London Apartments Direct for lodging in London from Dec 26 through Jan5. After our monies were deposited, we have yet to receive a contract and have gotten sketchy, minimally reassuring emails that "everyhting will be alright and you will have a wonderful vacation." Has anyone dealt with this company before/ What body does the licsensing of these companies, in case we need to use pressure to obtain a refund? Has anyone used Home to Home? This is the new company we are dealing with (no money involved yet.) How do we check the legitimacy of an organization 4000 miles away. We don't want to end up sleeping at the Travelers Aid kiosk when we get to London. Has anyone used any companies in London to rent a short lease self catering apartment. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

by Bullfrog1 Online Now Aug 20, 2005 at 6:39 AM

I'm hoping to take my family to see the 2006 World Lacrosse Championships in July. Am looking for suggestions on resonable accommadations for a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 boys ages 13 and 17. Nothing fancy, clean, safe, meals available on site or near by. Possibly an extended stay type of place with small kitchen to save money on eating out all the time. Would like it to be near the main stadium (TD Waterhouse) if possible. We'll rent a car so we can drive but would like to avoid long drives if possible. Thanks for the help.
