hi there there is the sports cafe at the bottom of the haymarket (next to leicester square). its very popular and a nice crowd also. hope this helps

From personal experience I can recommend the White Hart in Whitechapel, lso known locally as Murphy's. It is my local, a proper football (soccer) pub and wll be absolutely rammed full. It is at 1-3 Mile End Road E1 and about 5 minutes walk from Whitechapel Tube. Obviously it depends where your friend is stayng as it is not central. Also, drink prices are probably 25% less than that place in the Haymarket!
