Hello Jonathan, and a belated welcome to another London member. I hope you enjoy it here. I will still be travellng on that date or I'd love to meet up, we culd swap ideas about London! May I jsut offer a couple of suggestions? Firstly, try posting this on the meetigs page, you might get a better result. Secndly, try contacting the London-Calling group. There are four of us that organise things and I think at least two of them will be there then. Have a great time and definitely next time I am at home we'll get something sorted. Hope this assists, fergy.

Hopefully another time indeed. Yes, you are right, go tot eh meet members page, then to meetings and events and then post your proposed meet. You will have a better chance there. Good luck with it. Incidentally, what part of London is "home" to you?

I know Richmond pretty well, not so much St. Margarets. Like you, it is too rich for my blood as well, I have to make do with Whitechapel! The Sun Inn in Rchmond is a great favourite of mine. I'm glad to see you got your proposed meet posted in the meetings pages. Hopefully, someone willl take you up.

I will certainly bear you in mind for the East End. Hardly surprisingly, I know a lot of good pubs round there.

That is the problem with travel sites, the members are always travelling! I know many members in and around London but I wouldn't like to actually suggest names as I haven't spken to them. Give your meetings post and your forum post a couple of days to get a result. Many people are ot on every day.

hi there that sounds great. try to get to leicester square on the 13th. i could tell you where to go or just answer any questions you may have. at the moment there are bilding works in the square so will have a look first and may go to covent garden for a drink instaed. its great to people watch. give me an email on jpmeeson@hotmail.co.uk hopefully we can meet in the afternoon. i will think of somewhere which is easy to find. the best option will be the moon under the water or all bar one . they are on both corners of the square and have seats outside if it is a good day. look forward to hearing from you. think of questions you want answering. regards jonathan

Hi, yes I am from Jakarta, Indonesia. Very nice to know you here that have stayed in Indonesia for years. Anyway, I only concern about the weather in London now. I checked on weather forecast already. But for me who live in Jakarta, should I bring coat/jacket? Cheers, Laila

You should always carry a coat or jacket in the UK, the weather really is unpredictable. What I suggest is some sort of light jacket like a fleece perhaps and then a small waterproof overjacket that you can roll up and keep in your bag for if you need it. That should cover most climatic happenings in London!

Thank you for your information. I never thought I should bring my coat to London in June ^_^. For cardigan i will bring it. I will keep it update on my list. Thx again. Cheers, Laila

My pleasure. Believe me, you only need to get caught in one unseasonal rainstorm in UK and you remember for next time!
