We decided to stay in London only 2 days on our way to Paris. We are staing in a hotel near Paddington station. How's the area, is there anything to see around? Where to eat, where to go for a drink etc? Please help with the advice or helpful web site. Thanks guys.
Lots of pubs and places to eat in Paddington and onto Edgeware Road. Lots of Arabic restaurants and coffee houses along there as well. Plus you are a short walk from the main part of the West End and the chain restaurants that infest the world.

Thanks Kettleman! How about some tourist attractions. We would like to see one or two (London Eye, Museum, Park etc.) How far is it? Is there anything walking distance from Paddington?

Loads. Paddington is handy for Hyde Park and across there to Buckingham Palace and a short walk to Parliament and then the Eye is there and you can't miss it, loop back over new footbridge across the river alongside the railway and you are almost on Trafalgar Sq......

Hi, I have just came back from my recent trip to London and stayed in Paddington. Paddington is a great area to stay! :) There are lots of eateries in Paddington, such as McDonald, Burger King, Indian cuisine, Greeks stuff etc.... Just walk around, and you will know what I mean :) I guess you would enjoy staying in that area if you don't not mind the traffic... lots of busses, London cabs on the road! ;p Have a great trip!!

hi, this isn't really in response to your question, but i noted you are on your way to paris from london. i'm planning to do the same thing but i'm not really sure what the best way of getting from london to paris is. what are your plans? thanks ;)
