Having spent 2 weeks in Bali, i am ready for a more tranquil destination. HOw can we go from Bali to lombok, no flight please. Is it a touristy spot, are there nice beaches? thanks for the answers.
There are nice beaches in Lombok, even better than in Bali. The most touristy are the Gili Islands, close to the coast north of the capital Mataram. If you want more tranquil beaches, head for the south coast, Kuta, or the western peninsula, Mawun beach and Pelangan. These are a one or two hour's drive from Lembar harbour. Get a taxi or hired car, or use hotel's pick-up service. If you do not want to fly, you can take a ferry boat from Padangbai on Bali to Lembar on Lombok. hello there,,, Suggest you to use public boat about 4 hour normal situation, i have 7 hour in the sea at night from Lombok to Bali because rain but that is not so problem. Lombok is quite place, if you need tranquil beach of course all beach is tranquil. But here i want to suggest Kuta Beach in Lombok with nice beach view in southern. When i was in Lombok i have visit Senggigi Area, Kuta Beach, Gili Trawangan, Gili Air. I am sorry for this promotion but that is true. About Gili Trawangan : Popular with Night Pub and Sea food restaurant Gili Air : very quite. i know only Villa Karang and Gili Indah Senggigi Area : I mean this is safe place because near from hospital and Mataram town. Please do not forget Lombok offer good area for do diving. Have a nice day in Lombok.
