Travelling to Lochem

by Dredwin Online Now Sep 5, 2012 at 1:53 AM

Could anyone tell me the easiest way to travel to Lochem from UK? Currently looking at fly+drive from Amsterdam. Are there good train connections from Eurostar in belgium/Amsterdam? Coming over in October for seminar.
Many thanks.

    Hi,

See this site for public transport from any place in the Netherlands to Lochem: https://9292.nl/en

    Cheers,

By Eurostar is doable, but you have to change trains fast at Brussels-Midi,
The Eurostar arrives at at 5 after the whole hour and you have to rush from track 1 to 10 for the the Intercity that departes at 18 after the whole hour.

Travel to Roosendaal and change for the train in the direction Zwolle and exit at the Zutphen train station.

Change for the local train to Lochem served by the Syntus company; the first stop is Lochem.

All in all, from London St. Pancras to Lochem is a 7 hour journey. For the latter half of the journey be sure to have food and drinks with you. At Roosendaal you have some time (10 minutes) to buy some.

fly+drive from Amsterdam will not be much faster. I have done both options and the total time was around 8 hours (home to destination).
