I am going to travel with a 2year child and I want to travel from Cruise Terminal to lloret de mar ,can you tell which is the best way of transport? And if I hire a car is it cheap?
When we were in Tossa De mar a few years back we discovered that there is a bus from Lloret De Mar to barcelona but no bus from Tossa to Lloret so we didn't take it. So - there IS a bus but I don't know th eschedule or where in Barcelona you can get it. I am sure others will help. By car it is supposed to be about 45 minutes away.

Take your pick: http://www.hertz.es/ easycar.com/car-hire-locatio... Public transport is preferable if possible, though. Getting in and out of a city like Barcelona if you are not familiar with driving in Spain might be a hassle.

I would only suggest you to hire a car in case you plan to move around the area, visiting small villages... etc (by the way, very recommendable as the area is very nice and full of interesting places... not like Lloret, IMHO). But not really if you only want to reach Lloret and stay there by the beach. The buses to Lloret depart from Barcelona Estació del Nord. There is not an easy way to reach Estació del Nord from the cruise port by public transport, a couple of changes would be involved. So, traveling with a small child (and I guess luggage), a taxi will be your best option. There are many buses per day from Estació del Nord to Lloret, see the link provided above. Happy travels!
