How can I get from the Livorno cruise dock to the Eurotrain station?

Can anyone give me directions from the cruise port to Livorno railway station, we would like to get the train to Pisa, we will be there on a Sunday, does anyone know if it makes any difference to the train timetable. Is it walkable or would we need a taxi, going it alone for the first time in this area. thanks GR

Hi. Myself and two travelling companions are docking in Livorno on the 1st October on the "Independence of the Seas" and wish to visit Pisa and Florence. One of my companions is in a wheelchair and has no legs. We were thinking about taxi to Livorno Central and train to Pisa, on to Florence and back to Livorno but I have read that the trains may not be as wheelchair friendly as we might be led to believe. Can anyone give us any advice/info that might be useful? Does anyone know a taxi driver who might charge a reasonable rate for a day?

I am traveling with four teenagers and would like to get to Florence from Livorno port in the least expensive way. I have read that I can take the bus n1 from the harbour but my question is how do I get from where my ship docks to where I am to take this bus? Is it a bus stop? Is it a station? Please help.

I'm thinking about booking a flight from Pisa to Frankfurt on Ryan air for 11.50am but our cruise arrives at 10am on Saturday. Do you think we have enough time to get to the airport? Our other choice is to fly out from Rome. Pls adv how long will it take on train and buses with 2 adults and 2 kids?

Have been to Florence several times and am now traveling with my husband for the first time to Tuscany. on crown princess and have to be back before 6pm. May 14th have never been to Pisa, we are not big museum types. Can we do a quick run to Pisa, perhaps a picnic at the base of the tower and do something else as well? is there anything that is a special surprise experience? 5 tierre? we don't want to run ourselves ragged. also, recommendations on private drivers? thanks

We will be in Livorno one day on the Celebrity Equinox Ship. Are there any tour buses that will pick up at the cruise port and have tours to Pisa and Florence returning the same day?

Has anyone traveled from Livorno to Rome before? I'm trying to decide if a car service to Rome is better than the train or not. Will I see more of the countryside of Italy taking the train? Also, from the port (arriving on NCL), is it easy to get a bus to the train station? I've heard taxi's can be expensive and it's not within walking distance.

Hi, We will be staying in Marina di Pisa and flying home out of Fiumicino on a Monday. We are planning to get to a hotel close to the airport on Sunday as our flight is early. Must we train to Rome first? Are there buses from Livorno to the Fiumicino Airport area on Sundays? Any ideas for a hotel near the airport? How long a trip is it from Livorno to the airport by car? I'm taking a cruise in October. We have 12 hours to spend in this area, and we know our way around the train stations between Florence and Livorno. I didn't get an opportunity to visit Tuscany on our last trip, and I am not sure where or how to get there. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

I have read elsewhere that the bus trip from Livorno to Pisa, though longer than train ride, is more scenic. Do you agree? Is the Livorno bus station far from the cruise ship termial? Is the bus station in Pisa centrally located? Finally can I get the hop-on/hop off bus near the bus and train stations in Pisa? Thanks.

I will be in Livorno/Pisa/Luca in early Dec. How cold can I expect it to be? I live in Canada so I am not scared of the cold but I am wondering how warm I will have to dress to be comfortable. Will a sweater and a spring/fall coat suffice? Thanks for any info.
