I will be in Livorno/Pisa/Luca in early Dec. How cold can I expect it to be? I live in Canada so I am not scared of the cold but I am wondering how warm I will have to dress to be comfortable. Will a sweater and a spring/fall coat suffice? Thanks for any info.
I am from Australia so I don't take very well to the cold and I was in that area in November and I found it a might chilly but not bitter. However it might rain in buckets and in Italy they often don't have eaves on the houses or awning over the shops so you can be unprotected. That happened to me a bit further up the coast and I was drowned. Maybe buy a cheap umbrella (5 euro?) if rain sets in. And wet feet are very uncomfortable too. So weather proof shoes or even two pairs.
