I would hate to drive round the china clay area, near St Austell, not know where the best vantage point was for photographs. I have looked at some spectacular photos in books but they don't say exactly where they were taken or if there are any access restrictions. Can anyone help?
Also, is there more than one access road (gate) to the Eden Project or does everyone have to approach from the same side?

I will be visiting the lake district with my family for about three nights at the start of June (We have a 3 year old and an 8 month old)
Can anyone recommend some excellent accomodation near any of the lakes? We visited Bowness-on-Windermere briefly last year and were enchanted.
Budget is a consideration & self catering is fine, but our main desires are cleanliness, scenery and hopefully the likes of a rustic log fire!

Other VT's have advised to purchase Eurostar tickets in advance for trips for example London Brussels changing to Amsterdam. How much time in advance is recommenced to get a good price? We are now looking at 3 months from now/May 26st. Also there are 4 seniors traveling together, if that makes any difference. In Brussels changing trains to Amsterdam, there is 15 minutes between trains, does that seem like enough?

I don't think that I was very clear in that query. Please let me try again. I am landing on a BA flight at LHR Terminal 5 on Sunday mid morning. A friend, who is also flying BA, is expected to arrive at LHR Terminal 5 a couple of hours later.
Is there a comfortable place (with luggage in tow) that I can watch the screens to see the status of her flight and wait for her to clear customs we can then meet up so we can then proceed to the Heathrow Express?

I arrive at Terminal 3 around 11:30 a.m. and my friend arrives at Terminal 4 around 12:15 p.m. Do I get my bags and go through immigration before I meet her? Where should I meet her at Terminal 4? Will she already have her bags and have gone through immigration? About how long will it take?

My first flight from CPH- LDN on SAS is scheduled to arrive at LHR Terminal 3 at 350pm and my second flight on Singapore airlines LDN- SIN is scheduled to depart at 835pm at Terminal 3.
Will there be sufficient time for me to clear immigration and baggage from my first flight and re-check in at 635pm for my second flight? As I've heard stories that immigration at LHR takes rather long.

Hello! My family and I are traveling to London 5/25. We have not bought Oyster cards in advance. What is our best and most cost effective way to get to our hotel (Gloucester Road). I have not found that I can buy Oyster cards @ Heathrow (Terminal 3). Is this true? If we cannot buy them, can we buy paper tickets with cash to get us from Heathrow-Gloucester? Where would we do this?

I am planning on travelling from St:Paul's tube station to Marlow. The national rail is advising me to reach Paddington by tube, and continue the journey by train via Maidenhead. The trouble I am facing is that the train changes are rather closely placed (5 min!). Would it be safe then to buy a anytime day return ticket from PAD to Marlow (and use Oyster for the tube leg)? Does it make sense to book it in advance (which means I have collect it in the PAD station)? What about bus services?; Google maps are providing me a few suggestions, but appear to be a slower option. Comments greatly appreciated!

My daughters and I are coming to Liverpool for a girls week at the end of June, they are 17 and 18, they want to experience, shopping, nightlife and they love to dress up and have fun. I am trying to buy the cheepest (but still convenient) tickets London-Liverpool and back and cannot understand what I am doing wrong. Or may be it's quite normal and I should take it as it is. I guess that for me group saving tariff is the best (There are 4 of us: 2 adults + 11 and 16 year olds). As I see the tickets London-Liverpool for mid of July start from 346 pounds, when return starts from 40.25. Is this normal? Besides I found that at certain trains First class turned out to be 245 pounds (compared to 346 Standard)? I just can't make it out. How can it be?

Hi all, we are going to be traveling from conwy wales to the Keswick area on a Saturday in late September and wondered about the feasibility of perhaps stopping in Liverpool for the Beatles noon bus tour as a short break on the way. We were thinking a park & ride and a bus in so we can get to the right area quickly (ie. with out getting lost as is our habit with city stops!).
