Hi,
We will be in the Klaipeda area for two or three days in two weeks. Should we stay in Klaipeda the whole time and do day trips to the split or stay in NIda or Juodkrante for a night? We will probably rent bikes and take them on the ferry so Juodkrante may be a better option than Nida. Would there be enough activity at night in Juodkrante? Nothing wild but maybe a bar to have a few drinks.
Thanks,

Do U.S. citizens need a visa for Lithuania? Thanks.
We'll be in Vilnius mid June. Has anyone taken the train from Vilnius to Minsk? What are they like? On time? Safe? What are the border regulations like? I've heard one can hire a sleeper compartment as well for an additional price. Is this correct, and has anyone had any experience they'd like to share?
Hi, I'm going to travel fby bus from Vilnius to Riga, stopping in Siauliai for a half day. Is there some luggage deposit. I can't find an answer.
Thank you

What is the best time to visit, between June and September, in terms of concerts and street markets?
My husband and I are planning a trip to Lithuania. He went in 1984 when travel there was restricted and wants to go now to visit some of the towns previously off limits. We plan to visit Vilnius, Kaunas, Cnemaksciai, Vidukle and Druskininkai. Any info on hotels and drivers/guides would be helpful. Also does anyone have suggestions for travel from there to Belarus?
Hi, I am trying to decide which apartment to choose for my upcoming trip to Vilnius. The choices are between Didžioji gatvė 8, S.Skapo g. 8-17 and Sv.Mikalojaus g. 5. Which of these adresses is best for visiting the sights of the old town? Are they quiet or noisy? Thanks!
Does anyone know whether it is possible to rent a wheelchair in Vilnius? We are visiting in March 2013 doe 4 days
Hi All. I am visiting Kaunas in a few weeks time (beginning of December). I have been before but was wondering if there was anything of interest happening that first week of December to see/do. I will also be doing a day trip to Vilnius so advice on whats best to see there would be much appreciated, for example is there a christmas market? I had read somewhere there was one but can't find details of where it is and when. Many thanks Simon
Hi - I would like some very specific information about the town of Veliuona from someone who actually lives there, or in the immediate area, and is very familiar with its surroundings. Please PM me. Thanks.

Hi, I am coming to Vilnius airport 09.29, I will make a road trip in Lithuania, Latvia and maybe Estonia. Any good experience? I need a good quality car, I wish to enjoy may trip and don't have any problems with the car.
Hi! Flying Doncaster to Vilnius return. Printed off boarding cards for outward journey, No problem, but for return journey, only allowed to print off 7 days prior to departure. (other airlines that I use regularly offer 15 day prior to departure service) so has never been a problem. We fly out on Saturday, and return 7 days later, but don't have access to a printer, so will have to do this in Vilnius. ( I usually (sneakily) do this at work! Stopping at Hotel Conti - will reception staff be able to print off boarding cards - if so, is there a charge, or is it usual to offer a tip? Or are there Internet cafes with printer service? If so, can anyone tell me which ones. Sorry, this is new to me, usually got all sorted before I depart, and not been to Lithuania before. Don't want to have to pay hefty charges at airport for not having boarding card printed off for return journey, or stressing out trying to find where we can print off boarding card. The other alternative is going into work on Saturday to do this as a last minute thing, which I prefer not to do ;-) Any help appreciated!
Hello, I am planning a trip to Lithuania for 10-14 days but I'm not sure how to do it. Should I stay in Vilnius the entire time and just take buses to other cities? or should I stay in Vilnius for 5 days then travel on to another city and then another? Someone please guide me! I am taking my 80 year old mother who is very healthy, but we won't be riding any bicycles so keep that in mind. Thank you! Linda
Basically i am going to be travelling between the Baltic states and want to get an idea of which way is going to be the cheapest? I figure the buses will be cheapest, but i am having trouble trying to find a decent website. These are the cities i plan on visiting: Vilnius → Kaunas → Klaipeda → Riga → Tartu → Tallinn (in that order) But does anyone have any suggestions or better ideas for me please? Thank you.
What's the best public transport connection between the Vilnius airport and the sanatorium Egle?
Does anybody knows how can I get Druskininkai from Kaunas by bus? Thanks in advance.
Labas, I am visiting Lithuania for the first time in July, and am already doing a lot of research, trying to learn some basic Lithuanian, reading Thomas Cook's guidebook. So far I have booked my flights & accommodation and will be flying into Kaunus airport on July 5th, arriving 19.00. I have accommodation in the City Centre Hostel in the old town & believe I need to catch a local bus? Can I buy tickets from the airport, I might have have the small change to give to the driver. I have found Yellow Tours organise walking tours at 12.00 outside the White Church, and this I plan to do on Friday. I take a train to Vilnius at 5pm on Friday 6th July, will I need to reserve a seat? In Vilnius I also have booked hostel accommodation near to the Town Hall, the same Yellow Tours Group also organise a walking tour of Vilnius. I enjoyed the yellow tour walking tour of Tallinn 2 years ago. I also would like to visit Trakia, as there seems to be more there to see than a castle, the old streets of 3 windowed houses & hopefully somewhere I can enjoy local Lithuanian food, can you please advise? I have looked at Kernave as a place to visit, there are buses, but how frequent do they run (on a Saturday, Sunday)? Can you recommend any local restaurants, the kind that Lithuanians use, traditional food and is there anywhere I might be able to hear traditional Lithuanian music, good shops to buy CDs. Finally I need to catch a flight from Vilnius at 18.10 so I should aim to get to the airport at 16.00, as I don't know the name of the airport station I couldn't look for details on the Lithuanian railways website (I have found times for trains Kaunus to Vilnius, Vilnius to Trakia/and back. I am travelling alone. Many thanks/Aciu Jonathan
Hi everybody. I´ll arrive to Vilnius (Hotel Panorama) at 11 pm in Thursday. I´ll have to take a taxi to go to my hotel. I suppose there will be but I would like to make sure. There will be, really? Thank you.
Flying into Kaunas in September and out of Tallin after 15 nights. We'd welcome any advice on what not to miss. How many nights to spend in each capital, any hotels etc. We're both over 60, very widely travelled but its the first time in these parts. We like small hotels or hostels with double rooms. Nothing posh just clean. We'd like to do some sightseeing and ideally some nice walks. We were thinking of using the bus and prebooking if possible though would like to experience at least one train. Thanks in advance
My sister and I are going to Palanga July 5 to 8. The trip was a spontaneous booking, we do not know much beyond that there are nice beaches in Palanga, so we're hoping for good weather. We will stay at the Hotel Po Kastonu on Maironio G. 34th. What can you absolutely not miss in Palanga, and what it is advisable to miss? What's the deal on the SPA front? We are both about 40 and like bars, but do not like clubs. We also like good food, and are happy to pay extra for it to be good. We would like to test the local food in a nice restaurant. Places to shop? Nice trips to do outside Palanga? We have previously been in Tallinn and Riga; how is Palanga compared to these cities? Thanks /Lena
Hello! I would like to travel from Palanga to Riga in August. I guess there should be direct buses, but I can't find any schedule. I also need to know if we should buy tickets in advance (a day, a week?) or can do it just before the departure. Can I buy tickets via Internet somehow? Thanks!
