Santiago de Compostela to Lisbon in 4 days

Wish to travel from Santiago de Compostela to Lisbon for the return home to the USA. Two of us, hoping for train or bus, one way. Would do stopovers 3 nights enroute south. Has anyone done this? Can you recommend buudget accommodations in Lisbon, even with a family? Thanks
