Granted, the last thing I want to do while traveling is laundry, but to minimize bringing extra clothing, sometimes we have done laundry. We're on an 11 day trip through Peru, do hotels offer washing machings for guest to use, or are places for doing laundry easy to find? For people who have been to Peru, did you do laundry, or did you just back sufficient cloting? Thanks.
You've booked your hotels, right? Did you check to see if that's an amenity any of them provide?

For an 11 day trip, I pack my clothes for the entire trip and worry about laundry when I get home.

Hotels usually either have a laundry service, or else can arrange to have it done. However, for 11 days, unless you are travelling with only a computer and a paper bag, I would pack sufficient for the 11 days. You might want to take some travel wash and you could wash out some small clothes if required. Btw, take an all-purpose basin/sink plug, as often these are not supplied. Depends where you might be as to whether laundry services are easy to find. Can't say I have seen that many 'laundromats' although dry cleaners usually offer laundry services. Rule of thumb is if you require something done, then there will be someone who will be willing to do it for you or 'will know someone who does'!! Btw, we went for four months but had an apartment with washing machine/dryer, so took enough clothes for a week!

We found that the better hotels in Peru offer a laundry service but of course they charge quite a bit. In Cusco we found a small place just off the Plaza des Armas (and signposted from it) that did a pile of dirty undies and a few shirts for the price our hotel would have charged for just one shirt! It looked pretty unlikely - just a small tobacconists shop. But we decided to risk it, handed our bag of dirty washing over just after breakfast and got it back early evening the same day :-) Having said that, like the others I would just take enough for the 11 days (we were away nearly 3 weeks)
