I'm having a difficult time trying to identify whether hotels are within walking distance to town. We'll be driving a lot and look forward to staying in a place where we could walk around. Any suggestions?
Clarion Hotel Hammer or Hotel Breiseth lies in the middle of town and would be good places to stay. If staying further north, having more time for sightseeing the next day, I would recommend staying at Rondane Spa at Mysuseter uphill from Otta. Stayed there one day last July, drove 2 km further from the Hotel into Rondane National park and had a very nice evening walk at Spranget and the river.
