Lille is a nice city ,have family nearby. However no experience with knowing where lifts are and wheelchair, this is best to contact the tourist office as they offer help. You can also browse here in Destinations on LIlle tips. gb.lilletourism.com/lilletou... copy and paste to your browser and if not able the email is contact@lilletourism.com They should be able to provide info on accommodations for wheelchair folks. This is info from Mouquet Farm and other battles of WWI the area has them all ww1westernfront.gov.au/battl... http://www.anzacsinfrance.com/1916/ I drive a car so not familiar with public transport. Mouquet Farm is very near Albert that I pass by on that road a lot, on the ww1westernfront site there is a direction description Location: Pozières is a village 6 kilometres north-east of the town of Albert. In the middle of Pozières village is a road sign with an AIF badge pointing in the direction of somewhere called 'Moo Cow Farm'. The road, the D73, goes northwards from the village past Pozières Cemetery. Past the cemetery the road veers left and the modern farm buildings at 'Moo Cow Farm', Mouquet Farm, come into view across a small valley. I am afraid there is no public transport that I can find. So you need to ask the tourist office in Lille for help or Albert ville-albert.fr/fr/index.php... they will respond and understand English. hope it helps. And I thanks your grandfather on behalf of France.

Probably the most efficient way to get there is to take the train from Lille Flandres station to Albert and then get a taxi (or see what the Albert tourism office can suggest). I'd recommend having the taxi wait at Mouquet Farm while you visit - it would otherwise be quite difficult to get a cab come out to pick you up. The trains between Lille and Albert take about an hour and there are several a day (Mon-Fri appox hourly, though with a few gaps). It's the Lille - Amiens route. I've not found any B&Bs in Lille with wheelchair access, but there are a large number of centrally located hotels that have - many are close to the railway station too. The Ibis I can't recommend, but I last stayed there maybe 5 years ago. The Novotel looks better. The Lille Tourism site has a search facility for this. Hope it works out, and do come back with any more questions.
