hi, my family and i are travelling to lifou as a part of a p & o cruise next may. we want to hire a driver ( if this is possible ) and see some of the more " tourist" things but also i would love to hear about some queiter off the beaten track spots !! also one last request . . if there is a local school at all. my children are school age and i'd love to show them and take some supplies. thanks
Lots of information here written by a VT member who has visited Lifou as a shore excursion - members.virtualtourist.com/m... Do you know on what date/day of the week you will arrive there? It could be on a non-school day but even if not a school visit might not be that easy to arrange. A local resident to advise needed here. Think how disruptive it would be if many tourists wanted to visit - with their childen too:)
