Hallo dear Virtual and real travellers, I was invited for an interview by a belgian company located in Liege. I am arriving to Brussels airport on the 22nd or on the 23rd of july and planning to spend 4 days in Liege. Can someone of experienced locals advice me what are the options for getting to Liege? There is Independence day close to my arrival :), will the trains/buses be follwing their usual schedule on those days?? Thanks in advance and regards from Kiev, Ukraine :))
Hello, You can travel by train from Brussels Airport to Brussels North Station (gare du Nord - Noordstation) and from there to Liège (Luik). Liège Guillemins is the main station. Check the time schedule at the date and time you want to travel at http://www.b-rail.be/nat/E/ I cross my fingers for the interview.

independence day is on 21 july. Take the train to Leuven- every hour at ..37. You will have 9 minutes to change in Leuven for the train to Liege (Luik). If you would go to Brussels North you will only have 5 minutes to change, and sometimes it can be difficult if you carry some luggage.
