I wonder if it is possible to travel by train for a weekend from The Hague, Netherlands, to stay 1 day/night in Leuven and combine it with a stay 1 day/night in a hotel on belgian coast ? During the weekend around 24 february 2007 I will celebrate my 30 jr. marriage jubilee with such a weekend trip. has anybody a tip ? maybe hotels near the stations. greetings, (H)adrian.
I don't see why it shouldn't be possible. Have you checked train times to anywhere special? Where along the coast would you want to go? Personally I like De Haan as it is more unspoilt but coming from NL you might want something more "Belgian" like Oostende or Blankenberge. Knokke I found quite boring and posh (and spread out) but some people love it.
