Need advice on easy-going sightseeing June 16 – 23 – that is, without much going actually :), have a bit of a problem walking long distances.
Staying in Regeringsgatan, close to Hötorget. I normally take SL access card for the whole period, it covers most transport means.
So far, I am planning
• Drottningholm by boat (at least one way, does it make sense to return by bus+train ?)
• Tram 7 to Skansen the day before Midsommar
• Cruise to Haga (it’s the shortest cruise), maybe an archipelago cruise with lunch another day?
• How do I get to a public beach, if there is any?
I got this as nearest – is it really fit for swimming? Any place to change, WC etc?

Is it already warm enough to bathe? Surely some compatriots are famous for walrus-bathing, but I do not go to such extremes :)
hi,
i'm going to go to Vimmerby this summer. Last time I was there, there was a train route via Lingkoping (and , as I checked, there is such possibility now). But , as I checked connections in the Net, there is no such possibility in August. Does anyone there know whether there will be some changes in train routes or it is just problem with booking system ? Many thanx in advance

Me and my girlfriend are flying to Stockholm, stay there for 2 nights and than go traveling to visit familiy nearby Malmo. We have 4 days to get there. What route would you recommend? What places should we visit/spend some time? And by what means of transportation?
We were thinking maybe to go via Linkoping, is this a good idea? Is public transport a good way to get around or do you recommend renting a car for the trip?

Hi, what's going on in normally quiet Stockholm?
Which areas should one avoid? Any transport disturbances? Other sensible advice?
I was going to try swiming in skärgården - any problem with it?
Looked up Drottningholm Palace and found out this:
Closed 4–11 June, due to the Royal wedding.
Take a note if you are heading there
By the way, since I am planning a trip later in June, has anyone tried the boat + entrance fare?

Hi,
We would like to hike the kings trail. THe only problem is that we are short in time an we have only 5 or 6 days, wich will not allow us to go from abisko to nikkaluokta, then take bus from nikkaluokta to kiruna, and another bus back to abisko (where our car might be standing).
Has anyone an idea what the best possibility is to get back in Abisko in a 5 or 6 days time span?
Walking in a circle or taking a bus/taxi somewhere (and where?:))?
Thank you really much!
Maarten
