I'm a single guy travelling alone for my first visit to Stockholm this week-end (29 Nov - 1 Dec). I'm originally from South Africa and currently live in London. I love galleries, good food, live music and just chilling. I have booked a hotel in Stureplan.
I'd appreciate any advice about what's going on worth doing at the moment, where are some restaurants to eat alone, and where are good places for an early 40s guy to meet other people? Also some nice long runs, or running groups in the city would be nice.
I wanted to ask if i can call a premium number from a prepaid sim card and from a public payphone .
Hi, my wife and i will visit the Kiruna region in March 2014 and will hire a car to get around
Therefore rather than spend money on a northern lights tour, is it possible to just drive and find a place to view the lights (obviously away from city lights)?
Can anyone recommend a good location for this?
I am travelling from London to Sweden in February and will need to get to Alvkarleby.
What airport is best for connections to Alvkarleby via train/coach?
I want to visit the above named military/armour museum which, as I understand it, is quite close to Strangnas?... I would be getting the train from Stockholm (I think) so a daytrip is an option, or possibly moving on to Goteborg after seeing the museum. What do you guys think?
I was surprised that the museum was listed on this website in the 'things to do' section
I was in Poland, and they kept advertising ferries for 300 zloty (100 USD), and there were also selling trips on the street, but when we came back the nexy day, the promotion had change. We didn't trust them. $100 for a ferry to Sweden, with food and a cabin, seemed to good to be true.
Does anyone know if these offers are actual prices, or just a scam?
If it really does just that much, what is included in the price? Because the first time, they told us everything is included, but the second time they told us we have to pay extra for food and a cabin, and they won't sell you an overnight ticket without a cabin. That's why we thought it was a scam.
