I haven't been there, but at this link leksand.se/turism/turism.htm... you can find alternatives. I couldn't get the info in English, but look where it says "Hotell, pensionat och vandrarhem" and you'll find links to the places. Hope it helps.

And if you don't find anywhere free in town, it is relatively easy to get to Leksand from Borlänge or cosier Mora by public transport (not that I know latest train/bus but www.resplus.se does).

Come to think of it, Leksand is included in the Lake Siljan area tourist portal which has English pages: siljan.se/ny2004/eng/index.h...
