Hi, I will be touring some colleges in the UK this Fall and I was wondering is there public transportation options from London to Loughborough University or is a rental car the best way?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Need to break a fairly long drive with an overnight stay around my half-way point, which is Leicester. I have found an acceptable hotel on the edge of the city, but as a visiting Anglophile Yank who doesn't know Leicestershire, I'd prefer a village or town in the area that would make a pleasant overnight stay. I will be approaching Leicester from Melton Mobray and heading on to Warwick and the Cotswolds the next day. My planned route would take me through (around) Leicester, but I don't mind a little detour.
I know from watching shows on TV that Anglo-Indian activity around this area is pretty considerable. To me, it might be a cheaper way to see a different group of expatriate Indians. But is one airport a better destination in such a trip than another? Are all UK airports in London or Luton? Or are those the international airports that feed air traffic to smaller regional airports throughout the country?
If one needs to go from the Leicester bus station to the Belmont House hotels, what are the transportation options?
Thanks in advance
can you tell me what time the last bus runs from east midlands in the evening of the 3rd October 2008,
I wanted to know if you could get married at Bradgate Park and if you could who i could contact, thank you x
Is there an area of Leicester where one can find many Indian restaurants. Something like Manchester with Rusholme.
If there is -- where is it located please. Also-- any recommendation sof restuarants?
My boys didn't realise they needed to get campsite tickets for the Download Festival. They have weekend tickets, but now all camping tickets have sold out. Does anyone know any campsites nearby? Please!!
I'm asking this question is several forums, so forgive me if you're forced to read this again. I'm an undergrad student in the states soon to be studying in England. I'm looking for peoples opinion's on my choices of uni locations. Is Leicester ugly or concrete (as per the 60's architectural "renovations" much talked about in England)? Also, is it very expensive there? I'm also looking at Nottingham, Exeter, and Oxford as well... Any help is appreciated. -Kel
