Hi, Hoping someone can suggest the best, or preferred, way to travel from Lecco to Bellagio. Train, ferry, car, etc? Any advice appreciated, thanks! Ryan
I have not done this...but... Here is the link for direction ferry runs - navigazionelaghi.it/file/PDF... To take the train, you would have to cross over on a ferry from Lecco to Varenna, then take a train down to Bellagio. Why bother? I am sure you can take a bus, but unless it's horrible weather or the ferry timetables don't work for you, why would you want to see the lake from a bus? My uninformed opinion is "take the ferry"... as i recall the milan train passes thru lecco and continues on to varenna, where one can get the ferry across to bellagio.

Thanks, Lew, I got it backwards...but if you take the train from Lecco, you are still on the wrong side of the lake from Bellagio (in Varenna), so why not take the ferry the whole way for the view? Bill

not really sure, bill. it just seems to be the way it is done. i know there is or at least used to be a bus that takes about an hour and that there is or used to be a direct ferry which ran several times a day.

Yes, all good, thank you! My left foot after the injury of last year sometimes says its opinion, it's pain, but a surgery is always a surgery; anyway I walk good so I can be happy. And you? When will you come back in Italy? Have a good Easter day! Bye! Fabrizio
