by beanyboy Online Now Oct 30, 2009 at 8:47 AM

We are thinking going to Cap D'Agde by train this year.

Can anyone tell me : what are the buses like to get around to differnet places for instance from Cap d'Agde to Sete, to Agde, to Beziers etc etc.

Thanks

The buses are more frequent in summer!

As far as I know, there is good bus transportation and in the Roussillon it usually costs €1 wherever you are going.
There is also the train line, which runs all the way from Montpellier to the Spanish border, near Collioure, so you can travel a little further if you like.

Lots of buses in the summer but the train is by far the better option.

Good train service from Agde (short bus journey from Cap D'Agde) to Beziers, Perpignan, Carcassone, Toulouse, Nimes, Montpellier and lots more.

Also train journey is really pictureseque especially the journey to Sete

Try this for train times, etc. Have used the line from Montpellier to Sete, Agde, etc., many times.I would say that the timings are more efficient than by bus. They arrive at the station exactly when they say they're due. Tickets are cheap too.
Sete is wonderful by the way. have a look at my Sete pages!I've been several times and love it. The town od Agde has a lot to offer too, as does Beziers- all on the same train route.

We've also gone by train from Sete to Carcassone- about an hour. Well worth the visit- the castle is stunning and the town great for smooching about and having coffee in lovely cafes..and people watching:-)

Can anyone tell me if the Line 273 ( Buses from Agde to Cap d'Agde)has now changed to Line 3 ? or are they different or separate or additional Services?

Line 273 gives out a timetable or did, up to 28th February, but have not issued one from March 1st for the summer UNLESS Line 3 has taken its place. Can anyhone throw any light on this please.

    Thanks
