We will be meeting friends for one night in Lausanne. Research indicates that Lausanne is not car friendly, so we'd hope to leave the hired care somewhere safe and travel into town and our hotel by public transport. It's all new to us, so any suggestions - parking in suburbs, nearby towns, etc - as to where we could leave the car without it all ending in tears would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Parking almost never ends badly in Switzerland. Just the usual: don't let expensive cloths or attracting bags on the seats. At Ouchy, at the lakeside. You'll find big car parks. The underground (M2) is 10 minutes away.
