Younger Crowd?

by vegas1113 Online Now Feb 11, 2006 at 7:41 PM

I am 23 years old and will be driving right by laughlin in a month. I was just wondering if my girlfriend and I will be completely out of place in Laughlin. Should we even bohter to stop or just go on to vegas like we have always done.

Well it does have a bit of a retirement village feel to it and seems to be dominated by Vegas day trippers during the day but it could be a nice place to break your journey for one night. Most of the casinos back on to the Colorado River where you can take boat trips or hire a jet ski, and there are some good walks. Have a look at the VT Laughlin travel guide pages, there seems to be others things to do a short drive from the town itself. To do this just click on Travel Guides at the top of the page and search for Laughlin. Either that or paste this link into your address bar

I should probably add that I have only been to Laughlin as a Vegas day tripper. Have a good trip and welcome to Virtual Tourist. Clive

I'm 24 and was in Laughlin by myself for a night last March. I stayed at the Ramada, didn't gamble, but did hang out at the bar for quite a while (very cheap drafts at happy hour, so you don't necessarily have to gamble).
Mostly older crowd, but not necessarily all the retired set. Many are in their 40's. The highlight for me, honestly, was the In n' Out next door.
It's an interesting place just to see, and I'd recommend it if it's not too far out of your way. To me, it looked like a redneck Vegas.
