    • Michael Jackson "one" show

by Ihaveaquestion Online Now Apr 3, 2014 at 8:00 PM

Will my boys of 10 and 12 (who are like little teenagers) like the Michael Jackson One show as they will recognise the music/video clips or is it nicer to go to a more acrobatic show in Las Vegas?

Myself, husband and 2 teenagers 18 will be travelling to Vegas in December . This will be our first time. After doing a bit of research I think I have narrowed down the accommodation to either Harrahs or Mirage. Would love to hear your views good and bad on both these hotels and any other suggestions you may have.
We are middle of the road travellers money wise and will need to 2 rooms. We will not have a car.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    • Best Hotel to book and when

by spartak19 Online Now Feb 16, 2014 at 2:32 AM

Hi im off to California in July and will be spending 5 nights in Vegas, im travelling with my wife and 2 sons aged 14 and 12. Me and my wife went back in 1997 before we had kids and stayed in Ceasars Palace and she wouldn't mind staying there again but its quite dear for when we want to go. Some others a little bit further up and down the strip like New York New York, Excaliber and stratosphere are coming up a lot cheaper. Does anybody have a recommended hotel that's quite cheap and are we better of booking now or waiting until closer to the time or even just walking up on the day and trying to haggle at the desk. Last time we booked through a friends family member whilst we where over there and we got it really cheap just wondering if its all changed.
      Thanks in advance...

Im looking for a weekday buffet recommendation - with the works (seafood assortment and preferably champagne included). Not sure if these places offer the above at lunchtime or only dinner. Any feedback is appreciated!

      Thanks!!

There are 6 of us going in feb and when we were there last year they told us that taxis can not take 6 so we always ended up taking 2 taxis and that got very expensive. We are staying on the strip and know we want to go to Fremont and not sure where else. Do you have suggestions for the cheapest way to get around. I know buses are cheap but we were told they make lots of stops so it takes forever to get anywhere. Ay other ideas?

Hi, We're aiming to spend a few days in Las Vegas in July. I've found a price of $138 (before tax) for a room at the Aria with two Queen size beds. Does that seem like a good deal or am I likely to find something better if I wait for a bit? Thanks

    • Typo on ticket

by RichG1973 Online Now Dec 6, 2013 at 7:29 AM

We booked flights and accommodation to Las Vegas. When booking I misspelled a name on the online form. As soon as I noticed, which was immediately i used their online booking correction form 2 minutes after I confirmed the booking. I also followed up with a phone call and was told it would be sorted. I then received an email from them telling me a had two days to confirm the flight names and details were correct as after this period they cannot take responsibility which is fair enough. The next day no one phoned back so I called them again. I was promised a call back. 4 hours later no call, so I registered another query using their booking management tool. I called again and asked to speak to a Manager and was told the Manager was in a meeting. I then received a reply from Travel Republic which left me gob smacked "the names on this booking cannot be changed, you will need to re-book flights at today's rates, existing flights cannot be refunded". I call them immediately and was told nothing could be done, as the flights are to USA the name on the ticket must match the passport so I would have to re book at full price €2400! I begged and pleaded for help, arguing that this seemed incredibly unfair for a typo that was immediately corrected. Again I asked to speak to a Manager and was told I would receive a call back, it never came. During the last three weeks I have called them on approximately 40 occasions not once have they returned my call. I have emailed them numerous times requesting clarification as to why the booking was made when I gave them the correct details immediately, also I have requested details of their cooling of period. They have refused to answer any of our questions.

This trip was a present to my wife for a 40th birthday. I have been saving for two years and now we cannot afford to go. We have also called and emailed British Airways direct, they have a standard answer every time which is " our contract is with the travel agent therefore they cannot help".

I know I made a typo when booking but loosing €2400 just seems incredibly unfair. British Airways have been paid in full for our seats but are also refusing to help, the fact is they want us to pay twice for the same seats. You would think that something could be done as they wouldn't actually be loosing any money, even if we got a discount on seats it would be a help.

      Has anyone any advice?

Anyone been to the NYE-party at Margaritaville? I really wanted to go to the bridge bash at NYNY, but as far as I know it's not on for this years NYE, and this seems to be the closest thing to the bridge bash (price range, open bar, view of the fireworks).
Is it worth 150$, or should we concider another place? If so, where??
Any information regarding what to do on NYE is hiiiiighly appriciated!!

      Help - Indecisive

by TxMedic76 Online Now Oct 23, 2013 at 2:52 AM

I booked the Luxor with a package from Southwest and really haven't seen many reviews yah or nay. I have a couple days to switch to another casino. Any ideas of an all around hotel/casino with more to offer and better scenery? I have stayed at NYNY and Bellagio so I am looking for a different place and the Palazzo as much as I would love to stay there isn't really on my budget this time. I do alot of research and a little leary of Planet Hollywood as I had a horrible buffet experience and not really impressed with what little I did see. Prefer no Circus Circus, Treasure Island, and/or Stratosphere. Please any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Anyone have a good recommendation for inclusive package of air fare + hotel? Also, which hotels have shuttle buses? Is public transportation easy to get around since i don't like driving(or maybe i should stay in the central strip)? Do hotel guests get discounts or free tickets to shows that are located in the hotels? I would like to see Cirque Solei O and was wondering if staying at the ?Bellagio would give me this privilege. Thanks.
