We're going to Vegas in August to renew our vows on our five year wedding anniversary. We're looking for a venue right now and are feeling slightly overwhelmed. This is what we want/don't want: -Nothing tacky/cheesy. Just a semi-formal, nice ceremony. We will probably be writing our own vows. -A small venue. We'll probably only have 10 people with us, so it would be awkward to have it in a room that can hold 75. -Can be a stand alone chapel or a hotel chapel. We'll be staying on the strip, so not somewhere too far. -I've noticed some chapels that don't allow friends/family to take their own photos and I really don't like that, so if there's a place that does allow it, we would highly prefer that. I don't know that we really need/want to hire a photographer, but haven't really gotten to that point yet. We don't want to spend tons of money on this. -Budget for the chapel would be500 max. -Transportation: We'll have our own car with us but don't want to use it for the event. Obviously don't want to take a cab. Some place that has a limo/car available that isn't ridiculously priced. We thought having it at the Stratosphere might be cool, but we're still looking around. Any advice would be appreciated. I know there's a lot online about getting married in Vegas, but this is a bit different as we're only renewing our vows so we don't necessarily need quite as much, but we still want it to be nice.
The only time we were at a wedding in Las Vegas was several years ago when a friend's daughter got married at the Flamingo. They have several nice places behind the property that could be what you are looking for and the surrounding waterfalls and garden area makes for some nice pictures.

I've been to a few places, and checked them out, but I think meeting all of your requirements might be tough. One wedding I went to was at the Little Church of the West - we walked there from Mandalay, so it isn't too far off the strip. Here's the website: littlechurchlv.com/category/...

My Wife and I are renewing our vows in September. There are only two of us and we have booked The Chapel of the Flowers, which has several chapels to cater for different party sizes. Can't recommend it only because we have yet to experience it but you can view weddings on their web site to see what the services are like.
