Vegas Again

by giampiero6 Online Now Mar 18, 2013 at 5:03 PM

Hi Folks. I have not been to Vegas in many years and have no idea what is going on anymore.

Can anybody tell me about new and interesting stuff to do in the "new towers" in Vegas? I was there for a bachelor party but that doesn't really count.

Thank you,

G

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas advertisement still cracks me up and might even be your right kind of wrong! More likely though you might enjoy a trip out to hike around hoover dam!

If you are going to stay in town, I still find Mystere to be the best CirqueDuSoleil show. It is still my favorite.

City Center is an interesting complex. They have the very upscale Crystals mall right next door. But if high end shopping is not your thing, just wandering through to check out some of the nifty fountains will take you all of 20 minutes. The casino (Aria) is kind of dark - I have generally avoided playing there. Go a little further north and you can check out the Cosmo, as toddecus mentioned. I think this place is a little more interesting. Find the hidden pizza restaurant (for some reason, my link is busted...sorry!) to check out a ton of interesting album covers. There are also pool tables and foosball nearby. Across the street from City Center is Planet Hollywood, which is new-ish. Attached to the casino is the Miracle Mile shops, which has a bunch of casual quick restaurants and interesting stores. Of course, depending on how far you want to wander, there's a lot more to see and do (and depending on when you were last there - there's a lot that's new!)

Both the Wynn and Aria are nice. I really enjoyed the buffet at the Wynn.
