Canary Islands Jan 22, 2015 at 7:27 AM

      Hello,
who has a recommendation for a hotel/ Finca in El Hierro?
We would like hiking. I absolutely need a car or is it possible by bus to explore the island and get to the starting point for the hike? Are there any other tips for the island, travel period March 2015. Thank you.

      Hello,
We are looking to stay in a small, quiet self catering apartment accommodation, with few facilities needed. We just want a basic apartment - no bar, restaurant or swimming pool necessary. We just want total peace and quiet for one wek. Can anyone help please?

Where to stay, and what to do over New Year?

by AlbinR Online Now Dec 8, 2013 at 12:28 PM

We're planning to stay in Las Palmas for a week over New Year. Two questions:

      1) What part of the city is the best place to stay in? I assume it will be too cold to actually go swimming, but maybe it's still a good idea to stay close to Las Canteras? Basically, we want to stay in an active neighborhood, with lots of people moving around both day and night (restaurants, bars, and shopping). Is the old town better? Or somewhere else?

      2) What does people do on New Years eve? Are there any gala dinners, big parties etc we can sign up for?
