We are going to Tromso in the end of february / beginning of march. We live in Spain and never make it further north tan Hamburg, so we probably have to face buying a lot of warm clothing we'll never need again! Having learnt that most of the businesses that take tourists on "Northern Light Chases" provide extra warm clothes & even boots, there remains the question:
What do people wear for just walking around in the city? Or, for taking a bus to somewhere else, or a ferry ... etc etc. For instance. are warm shoes with warm socks enough, or does it have to be moon boots? Pants, coats?
I'd be really grateful for some advice!
I’m traveling up North with Hurtigruten to Kirkenes at the end of December. In Kirkenes I will spend 1 night at the snow hotel, do a half day dog sledding trip, and do the tour offered by Hurtigruten.
I have the option to spend up to two nights in Kirkenes, but was unsure if there is actually enough to do aside from winter activities. I don’t plan on doing any other ones like snow mobiling or King crab fishing, etc. Is there enough to see and do culturally that I should stay two nights, or is one full day enough in Kirkenes?
Thanks in advance for your help!
I am going to hike to Kjerag this coming August. My initial plan was to go to Stavanger from Oslo and then take a ferry to Lysebotn upon arriving in Stavanger. Unfortunately, i was told no ferry service wil be offered during August period and going to Lysebotn from Larvik by ferry is the only alternative for independent traveller.
So, i would love to inquiry on the name of jetty in Larvik where ferry service to Lysebotn is offered. On top of that, how far is that jetty from Larvik train station?
I really hope you guys can help me to solve these problem. I have planned this trip for abt 2 months but nothing useful is found.
Lastly, thanks in advance. Your help will definitely liven up my trip in Norway! and i love Norway so much !
Thanks and Regards,
