Hi all. My husband and i want to try a completely new holiday experience next year and are really loving the idea of Lapland - Levi in particular. Neither of us have been skiing before and will of course be trying it out there, and are aware that there are many other things to occupy two young adults who are kids at heart anyway, but my only slight concern is whether there will be enough "daylight" in January / February to allow us to do things during the day. I apologise for my complete ignorance on this matter but would appreciate any "light" you can shed on this for me!!!!!
If you have not been skiing before I suggest either a few lessons on a dry ski slope or booking a Learn To Ski package which tour operators to Levi can book for you (if you have lessons before hand you can not book on the learn to ski package as these are for complete beginners only). I am off to Yllas in January with my thermals at the ready.

The lack of daylight won't ruin your holiday, trust me it'll be allright. Levi is a fun place with lots to do. Propably the most expensive place in Finland, I haven't been there for years 'cos my parents won't pay the bill anymore! :)
