Laoag-Vigan-Pagudpud Trip. I need a vacation package.

by koyfish Online Now Sep 25, 2011 at 3:39 AM

Hi, I would like to know if there's anyone who does something like a vacation package which includes hotel, transpo ride to different tourist spots in the area. Or at least, who could recommend a very reasonable priced hotel but must be clean, and must be near the airport and the city. Another thing, what else can we see in the three destinations mentioned in the subject? Lastly, is there a beach in Laoag? I know Pagudpud is known for it. HOPING FOR A RESPONSE!

We stayed in Java Hotel along the main highway near a Caltex station. Very nice hotel and the food is also commendable. They are listed and we just made a depsoit to reserve.

My friends and I did a Laoag-Vigan-Pagudpud trip last year. We looked for a van for hire in Laoag to take us to Pagudpud then to Vigan then back to Laoag. We paid for the driver's accommodation. If I remember correctly, we paid 3k for the whole leg and 400 for each night the driver has to stay overnight. The driver also served as our tour guide taking us to attractions in Vigan and Pagudpud cos there's not much to see in Laoag. Vigan is more of a historical/cultural place where you can visit museums, walk along cobblestone streets and stay in Vigan-style hostels. pagudpud is really for the outdoor lovers with its beaches and falls. Hope these helps.

When we were in Laoag City last March, we stayed in Tiffany's Hotel. it's just walking distance from the plaza, museum and market, 20-30minutes away from the airport. it's also near jollibee. ;) the hotels there have contacts in vans/tour packages, so maybe you could negotiate and arrange from there. you could visit Vigan then side-trip to Baluarte and Batac and also the house of Juan Luna... you could also go to Paoay, go to Malacanang of the North, visit the sand dunes, etc... of course, about an hour away from Laoag City is Pagudpud, where great beaches are. then on the way, you could see the Bangui Windmills... ask the locals from there, they know where to take you.
