hi guys! i need some help regarding our travel to laoag this november... 1. is the airport far away from the city proper? how much will it cost going to the city? we're 3... 2. any suggestion for a great itinerary, coz we have to maximize our stay there and would like to see key places, sunday evening to wed late afternoon.... 3. we'll arrive around 7pm (is it safe there at night?), we plan to stay @ laoag overnight, any suggestion for any good yet reasonable hotel within the city proper? thanks much....
Yup, the airport is far from the city proper. you can stay at Tiffany Hotel.

maybe it would take around 20minutes from the airport to laoag. yes, tiffany hotel is ok, we stayed there last March and it's just walking distance to the plaza and market. It's also near jollibee. ;) you can visit vigan, also batac, paoay, fort ilocandia, the sand dunes, etc. Then of course, dont miss pagudpud and the bangui windmills.

thank you so much guys for responding.... tiffany hotel is one of my choices and maybe we'll go for that... i'm thinking of staying there for the whole trip since it's hard to transfer from one hotel to another considering my mom won't be comfortable with it.. so i guess we really have to start our day early to atleast visit most places there...

nothing much to see in laoag city proper. the attractions are dispersed in ilocos norte. here's my suggestion: SUNDAY: overnight stay in laoag MONDAY: see Sand Dunes, Sinking Bell Tower, and Marcos's remains in Batac. in the afternoon, go back to Laoag proper and ride a mini bus to Pagudpud. I think the last trip is around 8:00PM TUESDAY: get to see Pagudpud and Bangui then go back to Laoag for a bus trip to Vigan. Not sure if there are direct bus trips from Pagudpud to Vigan. WEDNESDAY: Vigan
