Hi, i need help for Vigan, Pagudpud and Laoag itinerary Is it ok we take a bus from Manila to Vigan, then to Laoag, then to Pagudpud and back to Laoag for our flight back to Manila? We plan to spend 1 night each (1 night in vigan, 1 night in laoag and 1 night in pagudpud.) Or is it better to take manila - laoag-manila flights? Thanks
There's a similar post where there are already lots of replies on how you can make the most of your visit to Ilocos on a tight schedule. Please see post below: VT Forum temporarily unavailable If you can fly, it will give you more time to savor the different spots. If you are budget conscious however, you may be able to do it through public land transportation but it will indeed be very tight.

Thanks guys. Pls check if the itinerary planned would be enough to cover the entire trip: Day 1: arriving in manila airport at 11:25am, we'll take a bus to vigan and stay overnight. Day 2: A hired van will pick us up at Vigan to start the tour in Vigan and will drop by tourist attractions on the way to laoag amd pagudpud, will stay overnight in Pagudpud. Day 3: Pagudpud Tour - must be in laoag at 5pm for our 7pm flight back to manila. Do you think we can cover all the tourist attractions/must see places with the above itinerary? Thanks

Yes I think that your itinerary is possible and when u hire a van, the driver must know where to bring you in an specific time frame so that you can maximize visit all the tourist spots.

thank you gwyneth07, we did hire a van. We took a bus from Manila to Vigan even though there were cheaper flights to laoag, to be able to experience the bus ride. We left Manila at 1p, arrived in Vigan at 12midnight, definitely, will not take that bus ride again during the day. Lots of bus stops and etc. + the traffic in Tarlac. We stayed overnight at Hotel Salcedo de Vigan, rooms are clean and front office officers are all friendly and accommodating. We had the whole morning to explore Vigan, in kalesa for the first 2 hours, visiting old houses/museums, bell tower, & plaza. We stopped at Calle Crisologo to shop for souvenirs ten we had lunch at Cafe Uno -i love bagnet ;) Great food and good service! After lunch, we checked out at the hotel and rented a van to Laoag. On the way to Laoag, we visited the Paoay Church, Malacanang of The North /Paoay Lake, and La Paz Sand Dunes. We stayed at Balay de Blas - homey atmosphere :) We had our first dinner in Laoag at La Preciosa -recommended as authentic Ilocano cuisine & yummy desserts too! Day 2: Went to Cape Bojeador in Burgos, Kapurpurawan Rock (White Rock Formation), Bangui Windmills then we had lunch at BergBlick Restaurant - Pagudpud - highly recommended by our tour guide, Lee. and he's right. We had a great time and enjoyed our lunch there. Food was really really good. Thumbs up to Detlev and Maritess,(owners of the BergBlick Deutsches Restaurant), We'll definitely come back. :) After lunch we went to Blue Lagoon, and had snacks at Kapuluan Vista, then we headed to Kabigan Falls. Back to Laoag at 7pm :) 2Nd dinner at Saramsam Cafe: I love Saramasam Pasta and Insarabasab. Must try! Day 3: Went to buy some pasalubongs and headed to the airport for our flight back to Manila.
