Hello, I was wondering about travel times using Länder-Tickets in the Schleswig-Holstein region. I don't have much time, but would love to see the North and Baltic Seas in one day. I would like to see Sylt, Flensburg and Kiel, staying either in Sylt or Kiel for one night. Does anyone know how much the travel time would be between these places? I'd like to stop over for at least a few hours in each. Thank you. :)
Use the DB Bahn website to find the train travel time. reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/qu... Since you'll be using the Länder ticket, specify "only local transport" under the "Means of transport" dropdown list. You can add stopover stations (and how long you want to stop) using the "Via" link, next to the Starting/From station. If you have to make a transfer, be advise that the train may be late and you may miss your cocnnection. Allow extra time for transfer and note down other alternative schedules in case you miss a connection. Good luck with the trip.
