Hi. This will be my first time to travel Europe. I'll be staying in Hemer for 6 weeks. I only have weekends to explore Germany and hopefully to travel some neighboring countries like Netherlands, France and Belgium. Do you think it's possible considering the limited time I have? Please suggest places I must see, and the travel time if possible, and I'll do my research from there. Thanks in advance :)

I will be travelling to Dusseldorf and Munich on business during 23 Feb through 26 Feb. I will have sometime to explore the city. I was wondering whether I should spend an extra day that I have in Dusseldoft or Munich. Any advise would be appreciated.

Hello, We are traveling to Dusseldorf and spending 3 days there and then not sure. We know that on the 25th we are going to fly to Rome. At first we were going to stay in Oberammergau for the next 6 days after Dusseldorf and then fly out of Munich to Rome. There are 5 of us and my daugter is 5 months pregnant. My wife wants to really visit the old german cities and shop and eat and stuff, my kids want to ski a couple days. not sure how close the ski resorts are to Oberammergau or is there somewhere better that might have both ski resorts and a airport so we wont have to travel so far to go to the airport. Any suggestions? Should I keep my current plans or maybe pick somewhere besides Oberammergau that has both ski resorts and a major airport 10-15 minutes away?
How would it be possible to travel from (let's say Milan, Venice or other places in northern Italy) to Aachen by train (and bus)? Would it be a very long journey? is it better to book a flight to Germany? To where?
Thanks since now for all your replies.

My wife has an aunt in Monchengladbach, NRW. The aunt is 89 years old and is staying at an nursing home, which is "altenheim" in German language. We talked to the aunt today on the phone.
The aunt (Veronika) told that she is staying at "kirche lurp alteneim Mönchengladbach".
She was not able to tell where in Mönchengladbach this is. We wish to visit aunt Veronika, we wish to take to the visit my wife's mother who is sister of aunt Veronika.
Can please somebody tell me where in Mönchengladbach this is ? Obviously this "kirche lurp alteneim Mönchengladbach" is part of a church in Mönchengladbach.
Many thanks for your help,
kind regards, Tomaz

I'm going to Düsseldorf for a language course and will be there for a month. My course provides me an accomodations including breakfast and dinner. Therefore I think I won't spend too much money for meals except for the times I night out or miss them. I'm so willing to see places of interest like Kö, Museum Kunstpalace, Rheinturm, Schloss Benrath, etc. I may also travel the other cities like Dortmund, Köln, Essen. In addition, I'd like to buy some souvenirs.
How much money do you think i should take to make it for a month in Düsseldorf?
Thank you in advance.
