Will be docked in Rostock, Germany. Where can I find the local train schedule to Warnemunde?
Hi
Going on a cruise and stopping at Rostock - does anyone know of a Naturist/Nude beach nearby so that I can keep my suntan topped up
Many thanx
Will be stopping at Rostock for one day (Celebrity Cruise) and would you recommend going with a tour group for $80 pp (5 hours), which also goes to Warnemuende, or just going on our own walking tour to see the sites. We decided not to take the 6hr train ride to Berlin based on everyone's negative comments.
What is your question?
Which is the closest hotel to the Cruiseport in Warnemuende
Our family of 6 will be arriving at the Warnemunde cruise terminal and would live to visit Schwerin Castle. Can we get there by public transport? The cruise ship excursions are very expensive for 6. Thanks...
Hello,Iam arriving in Warnemunde on 5th May 2013 on a cruise ship, we dock at 8am and have to be back on board by 4.30pm. Liebe Freunde!,
I'll be in north Germany next May and wonder if someone knows the sizes of the lockers in Schwerin HBf and Stralsund Hbf.
I have a long-haul flight case, 75x50x30cm, and would like to know if it fits in the one of these stations' lockers.
If not, is there any other option, as a case/box payed cloakroom, available in these stations? What is the biggest existing locker's size (since I could travel with my 65cm, smaller case in the place of this 75cm one)?
Thanks for any help!
Does the Molli steam train still run from Rostock main station to Bad Doberan ? Please and Thanks.
Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to freely enter in and visit all the abandoned buildings in Prora? Is it allowed and open? Or closed and forbidden ? Thank you in advance. Best. N
We are going to spend a few days in Wismar, Germany. We have never visited the city before and would like us some good advice. What to see in Wismar or near Wismar? Do you know a good place to eat a romantic dinner for two? Some other suggestions?
My husb and I are hoping to come to Wismar when our cruise dock in Warnemunde. I am in a wheelchair and my husb is not handicapped. I can stand and walk with a railing or with my husb's arm. My question is how possible is it to see Wismar historical sights, how best do we get from Warnemunde to Wismar, time, transfer and bringing the small motorized wheelchair which can be stored in the trunk of a regular size vehicle and returning ot Warnemunde for ship departure at 10 pm. If there are any travel guides available who speak some English we would like that iformation also. Thank you. Karen
Hello, please can someone give me information about island Poel in Mecklenburg Vorpommern, especially on nice and not too expensive accomodations. We are planning a trip there like in last minute :) Thanks in advance
like so many, we will be docking at 8am and having the day to sightsee. it appears that warnemund doesn't hold eight hours of excitement. and l can't find a rental car location in town. if we want to do this steam railway or rostock, how do we get there please. thank you
I will be staying a few days in Seebad Ahlbeck in June, 2011. On departure, I would like to travel to Szczecin. I see there is a local train from Seebad Ahlbeck to Swinoujsche and that the station is located at the western end of town. I need to make my way to the Polish (main) station which I belive entails a walk to the ferry terminal, then a ferry crossing to the eastern side. Is the way easy to find and how long should I allow myself to get from station to station for the transfer? Does the ferry run all day and how often does it make the crossing? Does it finally arrive at the Polish main station or do I need to walk further?
Dear Virtual tourist. We are planning a trip til Rostock from 26/11 to 27/11 this year to discover the Christmas market. We are planning to go by train to Gedser and take the ferry to Rostock. My question to you is: Which is the easiest way to go from the ferry to the Center og Rostock with public transportation? I am aware that the christmas market is a very popular occation and many people go to Rostock during that period. Do you believe that we should book restaurants visits before we go? I am looking forward for you answer. Best regards Lene Monad

Any suggestions for best approach in seeing some of Berlin when our cruise has one-day stop at Warnemunde in June?
Hi all, I'm visiting Rostock this weekend and have one day to explore the city by myself. It's going to be a Sunday (since lots of stores will be closed), but I'd like to see a market if there is one on Sunday and the downtown. I'll be staying about a km away from the main train station. Any suggestions about what to see would be appreciated. Also, is it impossible to find a grocery store in the neighborhood? I'd like to buy some chocolate :) Thanks, Sue
Is the station far from the port. How far and can we get a bus from the port to Warnemunde Station. We want to go to Rostock, but are in Warnemunde for one day so will not have much time. I have been trying to obtain a map of the town, but cannot find one on the web.
Does anyone know if there is a lot of auto traffic between Stralsund and Rügen in early August? Is the traffic heavier on Fridays and Sundays?
Want e-mail communication with a taxi/guide for tour in Warnemunde/Rostock UNESCO sites

We are going on shore excursion for a day to Warnemunde and booking on a cruise ship could be very pricey. I would like your advice whether we can just go on our own for about 4 to 5 hour trip. How much would that cost and what are the attractions in Warnemunde?
Hi people!! I am visiting Warnemunde for a day in a few weeks and trying to find something fun to do there or near by... A beer tour or an adrenaline activity or something out of the norm sounds good but I haven't found anything online that can help me out. Any ideas? I am really looking forward to the visit but would like to do something besides the usual. Any information is appreciated!! Thanks!! Kathy
We are going to Strasburg and Germany Dec 22-28th to visit the Chrismas Markets and have a European Christmas experience. My concern is that everything will be closed on Sunday the 24th, Monday the 25th and Tuesday the 26th. Does anyone know if 3 of our 6 days are going to be so shut down for the holidays that there will be no shopping, no open restaurant and no active market? We hate the idea of 3 days of meals in our Hotel! Any suggestions?Kathy
