I read an old post that they can go to the local office and if they produce a valid ticket the fine can be reduced to 7 euro... does anyone know if that is correct

Does anybody know the name of the app ? I couldn't find anything similar to that, and i'm leaving tomorrow to visit again that wonderful city :
Thank you in andvance !
Hi all - I am dining alone and would like to take in some authentic German cuisine/ beers. Any suggestions for lunch and/ or dinner within walking distance of the Holiday Inn in Alexanderplatz? I am not looking for anything fancy or pricey - just someplace with a good atmosphere and won't make me feel awkward for eating by myself.
Anybody know where is some shop with metal cycling/bicycle miniatures in Berlin?
Can be tour de france figures, cycling or diecast bicycle model.
I want to know the adress in Berlin.
have a nice day
As soon as I land, I want to buy a SIM card for telephone calls only (no data).
From what I can see surfing around, there doesn't seem to be a place at the airport selling SIM cards. This seems rather strange. Is it true?
If there isn't a place at the airport, how about at the Berlin-Sudkreuz Bahnhof?
BTW, I prefer Lycamobile as this is what I had on my last trip to Germany.
I will be in Berlin to celebrate this event and am looking for suggestions of exhibits, happenings, neighborhoods and the like. I have checked the standard sites but am hoping locals will share a few secrets!
We have been to Berlin before - for 1 week. At that time, we bought 7-day tickets, which were great.
This time, we will be in Berlin for only 3 or 4 days. At the BVG site, I see only 1-day and 7-day tickets - nothing in between. Is there a 3 or 4 day ticket? If not, what tickets do you suggest we buy? Thanks.
Arriving Schoenfeld Monday, Dec 1st.
Taking Airport train to Berlin Hauptbahnhof (RE7 or RE14) about noontime.
(1) After disembarking from the airport train, how long would it take me to reach the platform of the train to Nuremberg, assuming I stop at the ticket office to reserve a seat? I cannot reserve in advance since there is always the possibility my plane will arrive late. Also, I will have a German rail pass, so I don't need to buy a ticket.
(2) Are the platforms of the train arriving from the airport and the train departing for Nuremberg in the same platform area, or do I have to go to a different area of the station?

Hey There, am planning a trip to Berlin and was wondering if there are a lot of English speaking people around as my German is still a little rough
We're currently on holiday in Berlin. My son has asked us if we could get him a scarf of the Padeborn football team.
Could anyone advise a store which might sell it.
It seems like we have one day without any "program" at our stay in Berlin, and we are wondering what to do (at this thursday). What Spandau or Köpenick be worth visiting? Witch one is better if so?

We´ve allready been in Potsdam. And we can´t go too far, since we do have booked time to Reichtag around 16.00.
Can anyone tell is it or is it not possible to visit Stasi prison without a group. It seems like one page says: Please note, it is only possible to visit by group.
and the other page says: English speaking tours at 11.30 and 2.30 (I belive meaning 14.30), no reservation needed! It is so far away from centre, that I´d like to be sure if we will go there at wednesday. Is there better info in German? (I don´t speak German more than few wors learned when travelling)
This page says no reservation needed:

Thanks to lost luggage my husband and I need to replace out clothing in Berlin, can anyone help with where to buy large men's clothing? We tried the big department store at Alexanderplatz yesterday but little success and unfortunately the staff were less than helpful, and we unfortunately do not speak German so maybe it was lost in translation?
Thanks in advance,
