Hi, before taking the decision to rent this apartmenrt i would be very much interested if anyone knowing well this area of Berlin can inform me if it is easy to park in this street ( from Google map I saw a lot of cars parked) and if in the street or very nearby there is some bakery shop and food market. I would also appreciate to get your opinion on the general value of this street and area. Thank you.
Hi, all. We're staying in an apartment this summer and have a 6:45 flight to Paris at TXL on airberlin. We want to be there about an hour early. The owner of the apartment who is aware of our flight times is telling me this: "On departure date you can arrange a taxi from a taxi stand by local Nollendorfplatz station - during your stay, whenever you walk pass there of which I am sure you will. " Is this a reliable option? Are there going to be taxis hanging around there at 4:30-5 am? I don't want to risk missing our flight and/or make a made scramble the morning of in any way whatsoever. The public trans looks sketchy due to the early time (metro to a stop...can't remember the name at this point in time...get out and catch a bus to airport) and one bus comes only every 20 min that I could find. I'm concerned if we miss the bus then we will be late.
Thoughts? Thanks so much!
Tammy

Hi, I m planning for a short trip (9 day) to Europe from USA. My plan is to visit Paris, Venice and Rome. I m coming to Berlin from US. Here is the plan. Can someone suggest me if there is better option?
Berlin - > Paris (Flight)
Paris - 2 days
Paris->Milan->Venice (Train)
Venice - 2 days??
Venice - > Rome (Train)
Rome- 3 days?
I have to go back to Berlin for the return flight. But I still have 1 day left. What is the better option to cover that day, drive from Rome to Geneva (Swiss) for scenic alps view and fly from Geneva to Berlin? Is Geneva better or Zurich? and Rome and Venice in 5 days? Is that doable? Can someone suggest me ?
Thank you
I would welcome your opinion on the location of this apartment http://www.luxberlin.com/location.html. We prefer 'independent' to 'high street' and prefer to be 'visitors' rather than 'tourists'. All that said we don't want to be too far from the action. We will be spending NYE in Berlin, 7 years ago we went and we celebrated at the Brandenburg Gate which was fun but we are certainly open to suggestions if anyone knows of a better experience.
My wife and I will spend our anniversary in Berlin and are looking for a special dining location. I was searching for a hawaiian restaurant in Berlin but couldn't find one. OK, we don't have one in Munich either but found a caribbean style restaurant that offers real high quality food but in a casual ambience which we found very pleasing and i would like to surprise her with something like that. But also any other suggestion of a unique spot would be very welcome.
We would be arriving Berlin from Prague, and staying for 2 nights in Berlin. which would be best mode of transport ? Bus or train .
from google map it looks we can do Dresden, Potsdam, and arrive Berlin. So how can we do this with public transport ?
Thank you
Meena
I need to know as I am leaving in 3 weeks and need to put in order and reservations.
I need to reserve for the Pergamon and Neues (Egyptian Museum). I will be picking up the Welcome Berlin Museum Island Card at my hotel. So how do I go about doing this? On the site of the museums, it looks like you order the tickets, but what about just making the reservations for the chosen times? Or, do you still have to purchase those times?
Do trains run on Boxing day (26th Dec) from Wittenberg to Berlin?
I am still waiting for ticket from DB. If I don't get it and order my Warsaw to Berlin train ticket elsewhere, which is the main train station there? I need to know as several stations come up in a list. One is Ostbahnhof and there are a couple of others.
I'm planning to go to Berlin for one week in May I was looking for some advise to go to Potsdam: what is the best mean of transportation, how long does it take to get there and any other tip. Thanks for your comments.
Im planning a trip to Berlin and want to do it on a budget, any advice on where to eat and go out etc. I am not so bothered about classic touristy things but am always interested and up for suggestions. I love art and music of all types. And am a bit of a foodie.
I had ordered tickets for train from Warsaw, Poland to berlin from Bahn.de and I am in NY. Does anyone know how long it takes to get it in the mail? They said it was shipped, I assume Airmail, on April 8.
Hi,
I am visiting Berlin for the first time next weekend and I am planning on buying either Emmaljunga Edge or Emmaljunga Mondial for my first baby expected in oktober this year :)
I am staying at the Leonardo Hotel Berlin, I have done some research and I know that Ria´s baby shop has them and Spiele Max has a limited amount of them. Do you know any other stores, preferably near my hotel, who are selling these prams ?
Best regards,
María

I recently had my laptop stolen, but now have an opportunity to spend a few hours in Berlin. I am landing at Schoenefeld Airport, but I wonder is there any public transport to the nearest Media Markt, Am Rondell 3, 12529 Schönefeld/OT Waltersdorf, Deutschland.
Any help is appreciated

Which of the tourist cards is best for 3.5 days? The Berlin Welcome Card with Museum Island or the Berlin Pass with Museum Island.
I also want to know how these work in regards to special exhibitions and the times admission you must make of the Pergamon Museum and Neues Museum (Egyptian Museum).

This is a very specific question on purchasing train ticket online - hope someone can assist.
I am trying to purchase ticket for one way Wroclaw to Berlin in early June via the website:
http://www.bahn.com
I could purchase online tickets for destinations within Germany, however having difficulty doing so for Poland to Germany. The website mentioned I have to opt for the tickets to be mailed (post) physically.
Can anyone advise is online ticket possible and provide specific advise on this? Thanks!

Is it necessary to reserve tickets for the Pergammon Museum and Egyptian Museum in May? I've read the lines can be long.
My husband and I are going to Berlin this summer. We would like to stay in an apartment witha balcony. The Habitat apartments look nice. On the map they look far away from the main tourist area. Does anyone know how long it would take to get to the island from the Habitat apartments and if there is transportation near by? If someone knows of other apartments with balconys closer to the center and all the tourist attractions, we would greately appericate some help.
What do recommend
