I'm talking spiders and a draft. Electricity optional. One room fine. Outhouse okay. With a view of the lake, up high. Cheap. Any ideas? You search "rustic cabin Lake Tahoe" on Google, all you get are these slick marketing sites with 3-story, ten bedroom "cabins" with a jacuzzi for26,000 a night. Anybody know where to find the real deal?
sounds like a tent would suit you fine.

Yeah, you know, that's probably the case. Still, it's going to be a touch chilly -- perhaps even BEYOND chilly. But, anyway, recommend any particular campground (or primitive spot)? What I've got in my head is stepping out in the morning to a nearly full view of Tahoe in the valley below. Recommends? Thaaaaaanks!
