Picking wild mushrooms

Hi there, I'm going to Lake Placid this weekend for picking up wild mushrooms. I would be happy to hear any tips, news, suggestions about mushroom areas. Thanks!!!

    Which Lake Placid?? New York or Florida. Not many wild mushrooms in Florida
