    • Due Procedure

by tmgtexas Online Now Sep 7, 2012 at 6:27 PM

Don't laugh please! Met a girl online three months ago who is in Benin and who is a US citizen working there in a UNICEF charity as an accountant. I am bringing her here to Texas for a relationship, etc. She will fly out of Lagos next week to Dallas. I asked her how much money she needs just for personal expenses not the airfare. She said it is required that she have1,000 for Due Procedures with her in case of emergency. She has a US passport. I don't believe this story and it is not the money because I had planned to send her some anyhow but I do not want to be scammed. Is this possibly true? Thanks and again, do not laugh!

Hi folks, I could have a job opportunity, therefore I shoud have to move to Lagos... I've read in this web-site that the situation there is not the best... I mean, I should move with my family (wife and child) and what I've read I'm not relax at all... I'm concern about that people are not friedly or better they will be friendly just because they will plan to "stab your back"... I would like to ask also what about prices? Food? I mean normal stuff that human being needs every day.... I will be very grateful to who wants to clear my thoughts. Best regards

      Going to Abuja via Lagos

by thaji78 Online Now Jan 7, 2012 at 11:13 PM

Hi, I'm going to Abuja via Lagos in a couple of weeks. I'll be arriving on an international flight into Lagos (LOS) and then connecting on a connecting flight from LOS to Abuja. I have a few questions which I would appreciate your help with: 1. I'm considering Arik Air for the domestic flight. Is it considered a reliable airline? as in on time departures? 2. I want to buy the domestic flight ticket online. How much time should I leave between arriving into LOS and departing from the domestic terminal in LOS? Is one hour sufficient as I only have carry on luggage. 3. Is the domestic terminal attached to the international terminal or do I need to take a taxi? Which taxi is the official one? Thanks

      Information On Lagos Nigeria

by nmsterling Online Now Nov 8, 2011 at 12:52 PM

My mother has met a man from Lagos Nigeria and in July she will be traveling there to marry him, my concern is I have not heard of any good things about Lagos. I am wondering should she be traveling there alone or if she should even be trusting the person she is going there to marry and see. I do want her to be happy but I don't want her to also be in any danger while she is over there. She is not in the best of health with her back and she will not be able to fight off any one she comes in bad contact with.I also don't know much about this man who has seem to stolen her heart and said of course all the right things she wants to hear.

Hi! I go to Nigeria in November for three weeks and might need to change some Euros, since I don't have enough USD with me (I'm already on the road). I read one should not take anything else than USD into Nigeria, but I am wondering if it is still hard to get Naria for Euros... Anyone had experiences in changing Euros? If yes, where? What about the rate? THanks a lot, stefan

    • Malaria in Lagos

by city-visitor Online Now Dec 29, 2009 at 3:52 PM

Do I Really Need to Take Anti-Malaria Tablets In Lagos ? I can hardly imagine that in the (such big) city of Lagos there are malaria-mosquitos in such a number and such active like outside the city. Can I survive my 2 Weeks stay in Lagos without concerns about malaria.? I don't like to use medecine, if it is not necessary. I cannot imagine, all Europeans and Americans on working contract in Lagos taking anti-malaria for a duration of months or even years of contract... Best Regards Leo

No special requirements are observed here. In fact, what most of the girls who frequent these places were would make your hair stand attention. Can somebody shed some light on this??? Is it not advisable to go to a bar in Lagos? Thanks!

by Trinity953 Online Now Feb 8, 2009 at 3:40 PM

You mention that people carry large amounts of cash notes with them..You also say that these notes develop an unattractive smell to them. Does this mean that credit cards are not readily accepted? Is cash money the only way to pay for things in Lagos? It is not possible to use a credit card instead of cash? Thank you for any help that you can give me.

Then fly home again. I would like to help but am unsure what to do. Is it safe in lagos. What are the people like ? I will help train local people to run the internet and use windows operating systems. I only have four days. What I would really like to know is ? If I wanted to leave early, for whatever reason, can I book a flight home myself. How much do I have to pay in local taxes to leave the country. Many thanks, in advance. HD
