what is the best way way to get from Como to Lugano? and what about from Malpensa airport to Como thank you ahead of time
Assuming you are not going to rent a car ( we had a car when vacationing on Lake Como which we felt was a great decision ), there are two routes from Malpensa to Como. The SPT bus service has three runs a day at 830, 1330 and 1660 direct from the airport to Como, with the first bus direct thru to Menaggio. You could get a train into Milan from the airport and pick up one of the two train lines that run into Como. One ends in Como on the east side of town, the other continues on direct into Lugano. So from Como, you could take a relatively short train trip and be in Lugano. We drove to Lugano. It was easy, and you can use the autostrada or as we did follow the blue signs on the back roads. If you drive, come back by heading east on the shore road out of Lugano into Menaggio and then south along the west coast of the lake past Tremezzo and Villa Carlotta ( see Aurorae's page on this ). Lake Como is just gorgeous. Do try and get to Bellagio. N.

Tpags... ...Pallanza is in "Maggiore Lake" not in "Como Lake". Anyway I think your target is "Como Lake" so... ...I... more
