Hi guys, we have a short trip to rome during christmas and going to pizzarium was high on my list xoomer.virgilio.it/gabrieleb... Any chance it is open the 24th, 25th or 26th of December?
Coming this Sunday from North Italy by car for visiting Cappella Sistina I have been adviced to park either at Villaggio Olimpico or at Saxa Rubra from where it seems that I can get an easy transport to Città del Vaticano. I have not found any trustfull information in Internet. My idea is to leave my car in a safe parking and then to go by public transport. In which of the two places can I catch bus or underground to reach, possibly directly, Città del Vaticano and is transport from there running easily on Sundays? Last question: can I pay my ticket directely on the bus should it be the only available transport? Thank you.
Do you know anything about this train? biglietti.italotreno.it/Book... ? I don't know which stop Roma Tib or Roma Ost. and which stop in Milan either Milano P. Ga. or Milano Rog . The prices are good on this site. I need to get to the airport for a 15:40 flight.
I asked a question here the other day and got a LOT of amazing information. I am going through them all now, liking each post 'cos it's full of gold! I'm going to reply to them now.
I just had another question.
So our itinerary is Tomorrow - Sunday in Italy. 1 day (Friday) in Florence most likely.
I'm going to book the Colosseum for a day too. Would you recommend a tour guide here or not? And tickets include the Palatine hill and Roman Forum. Is this in the same area or a bit of a walk?
The Vatican. What is there to see here. The museums right? St. Peter's Basilica. Sistine chapel? Are these things separate?
Also, I am planning to go here on a Thursday, but I read there's the Pope's audience on a Wednesday and it might be a good experience to see him. Will the place be very busy on a Wednesday if I wanted to see the museums etc after? What time does he come out? When should we start queuing to see him?
Sorry if these are silly questions. This is kind of a spur of the moment trip and Rome looks beautiful, just want to get the best experience out of it.
We are going to Rome on the 17th til the 22nd, and spending a day in Florence.
I have a few questions, I'd really appreciate any input!
We are looking to see the main sites, Pantheon, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain, Vatican, etc. But I'm not sure if I should purchase tickets beforehand or there? I'm not sure how busy it is.
Do I need to buy tickets for the Colosseum, or do you just walk in? Will there be large queues? Same question for the Vatican. I'm seeing prices online for around 30-40EUR per person for the Vatican.
Also, would you recommend a tour guide?
Which websites would you recommend buying tickets from?
I had a question about trains to florence too. I'm seeing prices around 250EUR total same day return to Florence for 3 people. Is it possible to get tickets cheaper on the day? Or should I just purchase online?
What is the best way to get around in Rome? If we take a cab anywhere, is it easy to find one? What would the rates be comparable to? Thank you! This is our first time to Europe (Rome, Paris, and London) and we are a little unsure about transportation. Any other suggestions are also helpful!
I was wondering whether Lago Albano is worth visiting over Christmas time? we are arriving on Christmas day (not ideal, I know) at FCO airport until 31st December. We have 6 days to spend in the area. We have been to Rome on a previous vacation and was hoping to explore the area outside of Rome. Any ideas would be most welcome. In this area of Lago Albano or other towns to visit in the area.
