We're going to Cinque Terre in mid October 2010. We want to leave our car outside of Cinque Terre, because it seems as if the drive to Monterossa is very difficult by car. It seems from other postings that parking for three days in La Spezia is not easy to find. It also looks as though driving to Levanto, coming from La Spezia, is another hour or two drive. Does anyone have any suggestions for us? All we want to do is park our car safely outside of Cinque Terre. We're willing to pay for a garage to keep our car safe. What we don't want is a huge hassle. So: specifically: how long would it take to drive from La Spezia to Levanto? One hour? Two? Three? Is it worth the drive just to easily find a place to park our car safely? We'd appreciate any feedback! Thanks in advance.
In LaSpezia is much easier then Levanto to leave the car somewhere, also free of charge. In Levanto you've to pay anywhere and everyday you should go to put your euros in the machine. Why don't you find a garage in LaSpezia which is also cheaper? Have you a rented car? why not drop it and haveing back one after three days, three days rent a car cost saved.
