Working in la romana

by dominican1 Online Now Jul 7, 2010 at 2:59 PM

Hi I'm moving from England in the UK to teach in a school in La Romana, Buena Vista Norte in the Dominican Republic. Does anyone have any information about the area as a place to live? What there is to do? The mosquito situation, etc!!! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Hello,
Have you found an apartment yet? Will you be teaching at the Montesori school?
I may have an apartment that would suit you.
Regarding things to do, Buena vista norte is about 5 minutes away from Casa de Campo. There is tennis, golfing, restaurants and many other things to do there. Though it may be tricky, there are ways to get a yearly pass to enter Casa de Campo.
Email me for more info at: exr1@aol.com.
Best of luck with your move
